Originally the first song Jordan started recording for this album. After hearing the demo of this song Phil Young offered to continue work on the project as engineer recording and co-producing the full album. The original guitars, piano, and vocals are all from the demo. As Jordan was recording at a lo-fi level you can hear a slight hiss from his recorded tracks. The intention was to re-record all parts, but the choice was made to keep said tracks because of the honesty in the original performances.

The title of the album "I Wrote It All Down" was taken from the lyrics in the chorus of this song.
